Some pictures and signs from my recent trip to Avignon/the south of France.

Sorry I’ve been away for a while, I will try to start keeping up again/adding some older pictures!!

Here are some funny signs that I have found in France so far. Whenever one speaks to me I try to get a picture… hope you enjoy!

Some more sites I saw recently.

Last week was the break for toussaints (all saints day) and so one of my friends came to visit which was amazing!!! We wandered around, and then she had to leave :( This past saturday an old host brother came to visit me as well which was also a lot of fun. So these are just pictures of looking around Paris on some rainy days.

While in Normandy we were able to go see Mont Saint Michel which was beautiful. Here are a few snapshots.

So this past weekend we went to Normadie and did a little tour. We unfortunately left one hour late because some people didn’t show up on time… so some visits were cut short. One being the visit to the cemetery at Omaha Beach I believe it is. The American cemetery of D-Day. It was incredible. I wish I had been able to actually go down to the sea, but the tombstones themselves were haunting enough.

Musée Rodin.

So today, was a good day. I got to help out with fashion week but dressing a model for Zac Posen / Z spoke clients today and yesterday. And then, today, as I was going to get water for everyone I got in the elevator not only with two body guards who looked at me funny… but also with… wait for it… I’m pretty sure it was JOHNNY DEPP AND VANESSA PARADIS! Second celebrity siting in my life. First one, Kevin Bacon and his wife whose name I cannot spell… and then good ol’ Johnny Depp in Paris of all places. That made my day!

happy grass. Thought this was a funny photo, the lawn smiling!

Went to the Biennale at the Grand Palais today (where I got in free because I’m an art history student… score!) and these are some of the cool items I saw. I also got to see a lot of jewelry! Soooo beautiful. There was also a man looking at the jewelry, I believe to buy and the woman calmly said oh it’s only 450,000 euros for this one and 1,000,000 euros for the other! WOW!

saw this the other day while “exploring” Paris with a friend. We got on to the metro, got off at a random stop which turned out to be the Champs-Elysee and then walked for a while. Then we got onto a different metro and got off at another random place less exciting. It was a day to get to know Paris a little better. So far it’s been mostly beautiful luckily. I’m hoping the cold doesn’t kick in for a little while!

So this weekend was Les Journées du Patrimoine in which most all museums are open and free to the public. Therefore, thinking that it would be fun to see the Palais de l’Elysée I dragged along two friends. We waited for not 1 not 2 but 6 hours! Still it was beautiful and I think worth it.
